The Piano
Santa Foundation has created an annual event called Share the
Music Challenge. Each year we premier a new music motivation learning
challenge! It’s a fun way for students, parents and teachers
to focus on different aspects of learning music. We are listing
the past year challenges on our web page, for parents and students
to try on their own. And of course don’t forget to check
out the current year's challenge.
We have been
hosting an annual yearly concert as part of the event to go along
with the challenge. Along with the concert there are usually some
great prizes to be raffled and door prizes to be given away at
the concert. This makes the challenge even more exiting for the
current year. The 2002 Challenge, “Music is my Gift”,
had a grand prize of a Henry F. Miller valued at $4000.00 generously
donated by Sherman Clay (formerly Moe’s painos, along with
many other small prizes. (See 2002

The challenge is sponsored by the PSF and any proceeds will help
bring music to students that otherwise would not have the music
opportunities our program offers. There is usually a fundraising
aspect to each of the challenges for those wanting to support
the music programs but part of the challenge is free!
* Note; we are always looking for good new challenge ideas. So
if you have a good Challenge idea or something that you think
would make a great prize please let us know. We would like to
create at least twelve of these challenges with different focuses.
With most of the focus for students in the earlier learning years
when keeping up the motivation can be difficult. Having these
listed as a resource on the web would give students and families
something new to try as often as once a month for an entire year!
