2003 Challenge “Play
to Win”
Congratulations
to all 2003 participants and winners for making this year's Challenge
a great event for all! Check back for information on the 2004
Challenge.
“Play
to Win” was the name of this year¹s Challenge.
The challenge is to see how much you can learn. Here’s how
to participate:
Set aside
a period of two weeks for dedicated practice on an instrument
of your choice. Think about how much time you normally practice
during a week and challenge yourself to practice more often. How
many new pieces might you be able to learn in this two week period?
Before you
start practicing, get a couple of people to sponsor you. Collect
pledges from friends and family totaling $5.00 or more. The more
pledges you receive, the more times your name is entered into
the drawing for the prizes. Collect $25.00, for example, and have
your name entered five times.
Once you are
ready, begin the Challenge! Record your practice hours on the
entry form. At the end of two weeks, collect your pledge money,
then have your parents write a check payable to the Piano Santa
Foundation, and send it in with your entry form to PSF, PO Box
80173, Portland, OR 97280 postmarked no later than May 5, 2003.
