*A donation level of "Benefactor" can start (or
sponsor) a new scholarship.
Our goal is to maintain funding for at least ten new scholarships
per year.

If you have a piano to donate, please contact Mark Mention at 503-245-4755.
The
standard quality level for donated pianos is as follows:
-
The exterior of the piano needs to be in good condition
-
The interior of the piano needs to have at least 10 years
of serviceable life
-
The piano needs to be structurally sound
Donations
are tax deductible as allowed by law under our 501 (c) 3
tax status with the IRS. We consistently seek to upgrade
the current fleet of pianos to make the scholarship experience
meaningful and memorable.
The
PSF has limited technical assistance and funds for moving
and restoring donated pianos. If you are unsure about the
condition of your piano but want to help the foundation,
we recommend that you have an assessment or condition analysis
made on the piano you wish to donate by a qualified piano
technician. In this way, you will know the exact value of
your piano and if it fits our current fleet needs. If your
piano does not meet our criteria, you will know the correct
sale price.

At
present, the PSF Music Library has about 500 music books to
lend our students. We are looking for quality music that is
in good condition. We are upgrading the current library materials
as time and funding allows. Our music library is small but
we strive to keep a good selection of quality music available
for our students. Learning to play music you love can bring
joy and a tremendous sense of personal achievement and satisfaction.
